Boston Cosplay Ice Skating

I went ahead and started a thread about it on cosplay.com, and I'm going to make a facebook group too :D SINCE FACEBOOK IS AWESOME AND TRENDY.

When: Dec 5th, 1:00 PM (date is tentative for now, but I'm guessing it'll work out. All the other Saturdays in December are within exam period or Christmas time and most people want to avoid that)
Where: The Frog Pond on the Boston Common
What you should bring: Your wonderful self, and a (WARM!) cosplay! Christmas-themed is a bonus but not necessary! Also, bring $4 to get into the ice rink, your ice skates (or $8 to rent a pair), and money for snacks at the concession stand.

I love Dragon Age: Origins. If you liked Baldur's Gate or Oblivion, buy it right now. Holy shit it's so good. Also, I kind of love Alistair. He's like.. the best character ever and Bioware, I love you for making him awesome and hilarious. <3 <3 Bioware, I just love you in general. Ohhhh boy. Remember how I've been stressed as balls for the past few weeks, trying to get caught up with work after having the flu?

I was just starting to get to a point where I was like "Okay, I still have a lot of work to do, but I feel like I can totally take care of all this!"

...And then, Marta The Divine started.

As a theater major at my school, you're required to complete Theater 110, a 1-credit course, three times in your college career. Basically 110 is devoting a set number of hours (40? 60? idek) to a show per semester, as build crew, run crew, lighting or sound crew, ushering, etc. This semester, I'm doing my first 110 as run crew

My schedule for the next two weeks is as follows:

Saturday, 11/7, Sunday 11/18
9am - midnight

Monday, 11/9 - Wednesday, 11/11
6pm - midnight

Thursday, 11/12 - Saturday 11/14
SHOWS #1-#3
6pm - ~10pm

days off, thank goddd

Anyway I just... dang. I don't know how I'm going to fulfill this commitment AND finish catching up when I'm already this stressed out. I just. Don't even know.

Fortunately, the kids on run crew with me seem decent enough, the assistant stage managers are cool and the cast seems like genuinely enjoyable folk. There is one girl who reminds me of a taller, bizarro doorknocker_dog! The show itself is, mercifully, a comedy, so at least it should be enjoyable to work on. You guys (I'm looking at you, 5 College Kids) shoooould come see it at some point maybe idk. I'll find out how much tickets are eventually.

So now I'm sitting around with Ame and Max, watching Jim Gaffigan and sipping on plum wine (remember when I was excited to get drunk this weekend? welp,) and being not excited to get up at 8am! Packed a lunch and a bunch of snacks in my Wall-E lunchbox, so hopefully I'll survive the weekend.

Also note to happy_riceball-- I'm really sorry, but I haven't gotten a chance to mail your DVD back yet and now it'll have to wait until Monday. ;; ~;; But I've got the envelope ready for it and everything, so I promise I'll get it out to you then! Sry, bb. ♥

I have a project I have to do for math, and it can be anything at all, so long it's not terribly complicated. I suggested RPG/video game/MMO math, and my professor was pretty much ":DDDDD". GUESS WHAT I CHOSE.

So the tl;dr is: Could anyone provide me with some moderate/high quality screenshots of P3 or P4 for this project? Preferably of the Velvet Room or Level Up (MC or Persona) screens. Or just the character stat ones from when you talk to a party member. It would be very much appreciated, and I will definitely list you all as a source.

I'm a bit on the frustrated side. I got a 1/4 yard of lime green velboa, and it's awesome! I made another alien kitty plush right away, while it looks better with the velboa, I still don't like how "flat" it looks. I want it to have a cute round head, and not so... well flat.

I've tried different patterns and I just can't seem to get it quite right. It's still on the flat side. Also, the darts keep puckering like hell even though I trim them.

I really wanted to make a few alien kittens for my shop, but the head is always the most frustrating part of plushie making to me. I just am not good with making ball like things. My goal was to have as little darts as possible (I have one on top of the head and two hear the neck on each side). I didn't want to have to have a seam going down the middle.

I really like how the cuteplush pirate bunny head looks, so I modeled my pattern after it.

I still don't really like how it looks.

I am now finally caught up with the Nightrunner series. ^_^ Finished Shadows Return today on the way home from work. Loved all 4 books very much so but kinda knew I would from the start. I think Shadows Return is my favorite though Traitor's Moon is pretty close too. My only real complaint about Shadows Return is that it was way too short in comparison with the earlier 3.

So now I get to wait with the rest of you all for The White Road. XD

But oh man it feels so nice to finally be up to date so I can stop almost-spoiling myself.

I'm outgrowing some characters I've cosplayed and loved cosplaying. Sometimes drama was involved with this, other times, just a lack of interest, wanting something for the wrong reason, doing what I thought was expected of me, and well, I forgot a lot of myself. So... I definitely will be selling a lot of my cosplays, and soon, for probably ridiculously low prices. Sometimes there's just too much stuff lying around. I want to be able to focus on something fun, you know?

It's just, for me it's not as fun to cosplay a fifteen-year-old boy when I'm turning twenty-four. I'm enjoying the older characters more and more, not saying anything negative about the younger ones.

I'm not entirely certain what I will, or won't, be selling yet, but sometimes things just... need to get done. I'll be keeping cosplays that are interchangeable.

Thinking about doing a series of human-mythological creatures. You know, harpies, mermaids, sphinxes...kinnara's.

Think there would be any interest? I'd like to make another little monster book type thing, though the style of these would be much softer/painterly.

Hopefully I can take one or a few and submit to Spectrum this year...think I'm gonna submit five of my monsters at the discounted related/series entry price, and then one or two other paintings that cater more to that style...
